Slip on your ballet shoes and take class at Sydney Opera House to live piano.
Our six-week Adult Ballet Classes are taught by current and former dancers of The Australian Ballet and will have you performing the perfect pirouette in no time. General classes focus on strength, correct body alignment, flexibility, rhythm and grace and our Repertoire classes give you the chance to learn the steps from some of the world’s most famous ballets. Beginner ballet classes in Sydney are available for those just starting out, and our program works in levels to cater to more experienced ballet dancers as well.
In Melbourne? Take classes in the studios our dancers use during the day. More info

Class Levels and Timetable
9:00 - 10:15am
This class is for you if: you have participated in a series of ballet classes recently and are confident with pliés, tendus, grand battements, ronds de jambs and pirouettes. Classes will focus on developing your classical technique in a safe and fun environment. Each week will build on the previous week and combine strength, correct body alignment, flexibility, coordination and rhythm.
10:30 - 11:30am (add-on to Non-Beginner Class)
In our repertoire classes, you get to learn the most famous steps and sequences from the most loved ballets; think Swan Lake, La Bayadere, The Sleeping Beauty and Don Quixote. You’ll be learning both the technique required to perform these steps but also the stagecraft involved in communicating the story to an audience.

I have really remembered why I loved dancing all those years ago, my fitness has improved, my mental health is in good shape too and my creative side has an outlet again. I hadn’t anticipated any of those outcomes and so great are the personal rewards and enjoyment that I then signed up for another week of classes.KATE GORDON-ADDISON, ADULT BALLET PARTICIPANT
